Red Boots Roamancing Christmas

Sometimes the best adventures are found close to home and the greatest love is found in giving to others by rolling up your sleeves and getting some dishpan hands. That is exactly what I discovered this Christmas with Mom’s and my adventure to a local kitchen serving up meals to others.

Amazing how much more enjoyable doing dishes are, when helping out others.

Nothing quite like cooking with others.

Met some pretty amazing people today!

This is one adventure I need to take more often than just Christmas.

Pleased to know of have an enthusiastic companion for this adventure in the future.

Thanks to Brie’s red boots that did the walking, and couldn’t help but bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Merry Christmas everyone from the whole Roamancing gang!

The Roamancing Strut

I have created a signature dance for Roamancing that we plan to take with us on our travels as a means to get to know people better, and to have some great fun.  There are steps built in that encourage you to make choices which will show us a bit of your personality.  What kind of pose would you strike?  How would you walk? Is your walk funky, crazy, sultry, bashful?  The dance will likely never be the same twice.  I put on our new Roamancing red boots and was not shy to show my silly side! I have broken it down step by step for you.

Try the dance out for yourself and whether you think you’re good at it or not, show us what you’ve got!  Our favorite part of traveling is meeting people and making new friends through sharing experiences, so get your friends in on it and film yourselves together, but with everyone showing their own personal flare.  Let us know where you are from and we’ll start our world wide dance collection.  Have a great time and live it up!

Legacy of the Red Boots

Every time I talk to my mom and tell her I’ve been cleaning out a room, cupboard or closet, she says “Did you find any treasures?”  I always kind of roll my eyes tell her that this time, like all the others, just gave me the gift of a clean space.  Today, to my unbelievable surprise, I did find a treasure!  As I was going through the last few boxes in our unpacking I found a box that an old friend had given me before she moved away.  On the box she had written ‘Open whenever, you will know when the time is right.’  A flash of memories came flooding back to me.  I remember the day she gave it to me.  I knew by that note that I wasn’t supposed to open it right away so I put the box away.  With the couple of moves we have made I guess it ended up in one of the few boxes we put right into storage.  A few years have gone by since that day and now that we finally have the time to go through everything, I discovered it again.

Treasure From An Old Friend

I opened the box and inside there was a pair of shiny red boots with a note.

The Red Boots

The note said:

My dearest Brie,

These boots were once very special to me.  They have walked many miles and have added a certain spice to all my adventures.  My life has been enriched by the happiness these boots have brought to me and at this point I feel I am being selfish by keeping them to myself.  It is time for you to enjoy them and give them new life.  I have had them repolished and beautified for you.  Now get out and live life!

A Note To Explain And Inspire

Wow!  I feel a great responsibility, but am really excited about this joy booster.  I have already decided that I am going to share these boots with Emme.  I don’t ever want to think of them just sitting in a box or closet again and I want to share the happiness I felt today.  I wonder what they have experienced already.  Oh if these boots could talk….
