LA KISS Arena Football

Arena Football Inspired by Gene Simmons

There’s no doubt about it, nothing is as exciting as watching a live sporting event.  Well, a lot of things could actually be more exciting, but when it comes to sports, watching it live is the best way to do it.  I had never been to see arena football until I recently attended an LA KISS game.  It was exhilarating! This team was launched by Gene Simmons and his influence is everywhere. I’m pretty sure I’ve been spoiled should I ever try to see a game in another city.

LA KISS Arena Football
The Arena: I like the size of the field as opposed to traditional Football.

The LA Kiss play at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The mood is set with energetic rock music, high octave colours, girls dancing in cages hanging from the ceiling (which I thought might be fun to do, and the dancer in me was jealous, but then I remembered I’m afraid of heights!), and fireworks! Live bands play at intermissions and you can count on some booty shaking dance routines by the LA Kiss Girls. There were a couple variety acts when I was there as well.  We saw dare devil bikers jumping and flipping off ramps shaped like Gene Simmon’s tongue, and a crazy frisbee catching dog.  Gene Simmons himself made an appearance and personally launched t-shirts into the crowd!

Of course the players themselves are the stars of the show.  They are beasts! They’re a new team and they already have a hyped crowd hanging on every play. I would definitely plan an outing here if you’re visiting southern California. Sometimes we get tired of doing the same old thing all the time. Their season recently ended, but I believe they will be back in action soon enough, and if you’re local you can snag some 2015 season’s tickets.

I love arena football stadiums. The small size makes the game pretty high action.

I agree! There was so much energy in that place, with a lot more fast action than regular football.
