Would You Do It To Live the Whistler Dream?

Seriously excited to share that Whistler is offering the ultimate in dreams for travel fanatics ~ a one-month expenses paid Whistler Sabbatical. We are talking airfare, accommodation, lift passes, ski/ snowboard equipment for 2, plus a series of extraordinary experiences.  Sounds to good to be true, right?  Well, it gets even better.  To offset the cost of taking a month off of work, Whistler is also throwing in a salary for the winner.

So how does one win?

  1. Visit www.whistler.com/wouldyoudoit, click on ‘The Contest’ & enter. This is one entry in the contest.
  2. Each week you will be emailed a weekly video and question.  Sign in on the site, watch that week’s ‘Explore Your Options’ video and answer the question. You will recieve an additional entry for each week during the Contest Period that you do this, giving you up to an additional 18 possible entries.
  3. You have now until January 31, 2012 to get your entries in.
It’s as simple as that!

So the weekly questions, must be tough, right?  Nope.

Here is the first week’s video vignette:

… and the question:

“Would you dance in your ski boots until midnight?”

  • A) I’ll do it.
  • B) Been there, done that.
  • C) I’ll need a little more time with that (and likely some good tequila).
And there are weekly prizes too that you can enter to win on facebook at www.facebook.com/GoWhistler.  This week’s winner will receive a $600 (CDN) Whistler Blackcomb gift card towards new ski boots and a tab at the Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar & Grill.

So of course with any contest, there are certain stipulations.  You can read them all here, but the main ones are:

  • You must be a resident in North America, the United Kingdom or Australia; and
  • The grand prize winner must redeem their Whistler Sabbatical between March 1 – April 30, 2012.
Good luck! (You’ll need it, as I plan on getting my 19 entries in.)

Kisses,

Emme xoxo

PS I wonder, if when I win, if they’ll give me my Le Chamois tub back for the month?

Wow. This is really a great contest. I’m a resident of Germany, but I’ll certainly be telling my UK/US/Aussie friends about this.

What a fun contest, thanks for sharing and I don’t recommend dancing in your ski boots until midnight – the blisters are terrible! 🙂

Came across this post from a web search. This is really neat. However, do realize that the contest site states that they are valuing the “price” at around $20000 CDN + up to $4200 CDN for your salary. So for USA residents, that “lump sum” prize means you’re going to get hit with $8000 or so of taxes from Uncle Sam depending on your tax rate, etc. $8000 will get you a pretty good vacation of your own anywhere for quite a few weeks…. imho.
