Cars Land

Radiator Springs Racers: Joyriding at Disneyland!

Sometimes it just feels great to let go, be out of control and move at top speed. With two very busy kids, a dog and a job, life is very structured – it has to be in order for everything to work! With a newly licensed 16 year old driver, getting around town has also been a little tense. Sitting myself in the seat of an amusement park ride that whipped around corners, hurled me up hills and down valleys at the speed of Lightening McQueen was the best decision I have made lately. I laughed, I screamed, I got butterflies, jiggly legs, an adrenaline rush, and our car won the race! Thanks to my little joyriding on the Radiator Springs Racers at Disneyland California Adventure, I left pumped up to tackle the rest of my week.

Cars Land
You would never know it by this photo, as I’m clearly hanging on for my life, but I did have my arms up in the air once!

My friend is sitting directly behind me in the car. We decided to try going as single riders to have a shorter wait time. We only waited about 20 minutes compared to the 65 minute wait time in the regular line. We got lucky to make it in the same car too. If you look back at the photo though, you can tell that we both got stuck beside couples who were in love and enjoying their date day at Disneyland … or should I say they got stuck with us! The couple beside me held hands and gazed into each other’s eyes with silly love giggles the whole time. It was very sweet. The whole experience knocked me out of my robotic day to day mom mode and I feel happy and excited again!

Looks like you’re enjoying your trip to Disney. I hope you can come to Ireland some time and write about it and take some photos. I notice this section of your blog is blank. Looking forward to showing you guys the sights if you ever visit.

That sounds amazing! Hopefully we can take you up on that offer one day. Having a local show you around is always the best way to travel : )

I absolutely love Disney, and I want to get back to Disney World to stay upbeat. Disney isn’t just for kids.

I agree! My husband and I even went to Disney as a little side trip on our honeymoon before we even had kids. I have been to Disneyland and Disneyworld and now I would LOVE to try the Disney cruise!

They are pretty great! I’ve seen some people do some hilarious things because they know where the camera is on the ride.

You really do look like you’re hanging on for dear life in that car! Maybe a Disney trip is just what I need to get me out of the monotony of being a stay at home mom as well. California is calling my name.

Disneyland will always be the best themepark in the world. I love it. In Europe we have Disneyland Paris.

It doesn’t really matter who got stuck to the other, the fact is that you guys had serious fun and that is lovely and Disney is such a wonderful place to be.Cheers to that
